The Teachers’ Day is a festival to affirm and encourage teachers’ hard-working.

In modern and contemporary history, the Teachers’ Day had been celebrated on different date until the 1985. On 1985, the ninth committee of the Sixth Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress passed the bill confirming the first Teachers’ Day was on Sept. 10^th, 1985.

In every Teachers’ Festival, teachers of different place has different way to celebrate their festival. Schools will organize appraise and elect, introduce experience and help teachers to resolve difficulty of salary, housing and medical treatment.

    Thus, the teachers’ postivity on teaching could be improved greatly.

Hanyu, litterateur on Tang dynasty,  said in “ On Teaching” that the teacher is to teach the knowledge and principle and to answer the questions as well as solve the difficulty of students.

In “On Teaching”, we can see the ancients pay such a attention to teachers.

In modern society,  teachers’ role is not only to teach knowledge, principle, and solve the problem but also to focus on guidance for students’ mental health.

     In a word, the teachers’ responsibility and pressure is more and more heavier.
